Archbishop Dr. Jacob J. Agepog- D. Th
He went on to establish Devon Telugu Community Church on Chicago’s north side, which has grown and thrived for 36 years. Now known as Agape International Church, it is a non-denominational, multicultural, and multilingual congregation focused on the Word of God, the power of prayer, and the presence of the Holy Spirit. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the ministry serves all regions of Indian and Pakistani communities and reaches out to non-Christian business communities across Chicago with the healing power of prayer and the message of Christ.
In 2000, he was ordained as His Grace Bishop and later commissioned as His Eminence Archbishop by the World Bishops Council in New York, where he also serves as a Senior Synod Member. Additionally, he has served as a Mental Health Commissioner for the State of Illinois for over 10 years.
Archbishop Jacob serves as the President of the Clergy Council of Chicago, Illinois. Archbishop Jacob is widely known for his Gift of Healing Prayer, through which many people—including non-Christians—have experienced healing from serious illnesses such as cancer, liver disease, heart conditions, and infertility. His ministry has reached people of all faiths, with testimonies pouring in from around the world.
In 2024, led by divine direction, Archbishop Jacob launched a new outreach: I Redeemed Ministry—an extension of Agape International Church—bringing worship, Bible study, and healing prayer to cities across Florida, including Tampa, Fort Myers, Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale, Miami, and West Palm Beach.
